In 1982 Maria created and developed the Pretty As A Picture course in manners, poise, and style for young ladies, which was the leading program of its kind until it was sold in October, 2004.
Maria authored Pretty As A Picture: A Guide to Manners, Poise and Style for young ladies, which accompanied the Pretty As A Picture course. Her latest book, Panache That Pays, was written for the college senior and young professional.
Maria Everding is often quoted in newspapers and magazines nationwide, as well as a frequent guest on radio and television shows including ABC's Good Morning America, National Public Radio and the British Broadcasting Company.
Maria Everding is the founder and president of The Etiquette Institute where she trains and certifies individuals to become etiquette consultants.

Often referred to as "Saint Louis' First Lady of Manners" Maria resides in Town and Country, Missouri with her husband and their Shih Tzu, Lulu. They have one daughter.
